The Perfect Eyeliner

Which eyeliner doesn't smudge?

Especially in this stupid humid Singapore, girls with oily, combination or oily eyelids will tend to look like a panda after lunchtime. Over the years, I've been searching for the perfect eyeliner for myself. From pencil to marker tip, to brush, to gel and rouge. I have selected a few which are not bad... suitable for this hot weather, after sports, or after crying whatever, the liner will still be there.

My ultimate favourite, #1 THE EXTRA HEAVY EYELINER from SANA. (The top one in this photo)
It has a soft brush tip, flat brush for you to line from very thin to thick line. This is so far the best ever (I've actually blogged about it long ago, but I'm going to do it again)

It doesn't smudge and its easy to use. I happened to cry like hell once with that eyeliner on. I stained the stupid pillows with black greenish purplish stains but none gets on my skin. I'm surprised too. Since then, I trusted this eyeliner so much that I think I am going to use it forever.

Another similar quality one will be the Dollywink. Costly but not bad I can say..just that the black color may not be as define as this one.
2nd down, another liquid liner from #2 Le Rose de Versailles. Its a Japanese brand actually, the one that I'm using is a brown color one. With a soft brush tip too. Easy to use, smudge proof, great in creating a softer look. I usually use it on the undereye.

The rest here are all crayon and gel liners. The top one is a Korea product call #3 Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner. There's many colors for this one, and I got myself black and beige. Beige for the waterline / inner corner of the eye to brighten the look. Korean girls use this on the undereye to create a so called Ulzzang look. This is definitely one of the most lasting gel liner I've used! No need to sharpen it, just twist from the top and the lead will extend. Great product!

Next one down... #4 Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof gel liner. The one I have here is dark green in color. Also a good product, but this is not smudge proof, you get dark stains on the undereye sometimes if the weather is really bad. Same goes to the next one #5 Cream Pencil from Majolica Majorca. Easy to draw, smooth and creamy but not smudge free. To prevent smudges, I will usually line a layer of same color eyeshadow over it.

The last one! #6 Superliner from Loreal. It is a creamy pencil liner with a super fine tip. Pretty smudgeproof, great for drawing the waterlines.

Besides all these, I've also tried Kate, Cezanne, Canmake, Heavy Rotation and My Heroine. Most Japanese eyeliners are not bad. The brands worth buying is definitely those from SANA, My Heroine and Dollywink. The rest...don't bother actually, especially Canmake. Probably only suitable for very dry complexion or dry and cold weather like Japan.

TIP: Always remember to pat some eyeshadow over the eyeliner if they still smudge on your eyelid.

The perfect base make up

Besides BB cream, I rarely use foundation because they are too heavy for me in this kind of bloody sunny humid weather! And recently I saw some reviews on the Anna Sui moisture rich fluid foundation and wanted to give it a try. And it turns our perfectly good!!

Here's the product that I use for my base make up:

1. Estee Lauder repair lotion
2. ZA True White Instant Brightener (as base and sunblock)
3. Melliesh Mineral Powder
4. Chanel compact translucent powder for finishing

I wanted to give a review on the ZA true white instant brightener! Its the best thing ever........ with PA+++ for sunblock and its non oily and conceal the pores so well. I would give it a 9/10. LOVE! And its so affordable......everybody should try it.

Next up, my Anna Sui foundation.

Very light and blendable and it smells very nice. Although the coverage is not high but it covers the pores very well giving you a flawless shine. Apply this on your face after the base, you may dab a little under the eyes for light concealing.

And...... recently I got this limited edition Melliesh Mineral Powder from ALT! So excited they actually have it in Singapore. I think other than Candydoll, Mellish is another of my favourite brand. The make up stays all day and its not cakey at all!! Best thing is, this powder comes with a brush made of goat hair. Super worth  it!

After the foundation, just pour a little of the powder on the cap and brush it all over the face.

Then finally, use a big brush or powder puff and dab the compact loose powder all over your face and thats it! You get nice flawless skin that last whole day without being cakey.

I love this combi and you should try it.

Touching up cakey face

I've changed my base make up recently. I think its necessary to change your base make up according to your skin condition and weather. Although its always summer in Singapore, but the humidity always end up making the skin oily and make up cakey.

When I'm having breakouts, I'll go for BB cream with a higher coverage but a more hydrating one. Although I really love Revlon Softlex, but its still sort of too thick for the face. Current favourite is the Kameria Baby Face BB Cream. (Pink color one which is water base) I think I've mentioned this in my blog before. I love the smell and its coverage is good!!! But unfortunately, my face still ends up looking cakey at the end of the day,

And here's a small tip on repairing your cakey face!

1. Make up sponge
2. Facial mist
3. Face moisturizer
4. Concealor (for zits)
5. Compact powder

Wet your sponge a little and dab some face moisturizer on it. And dab them on your cakey face swiping them gently towards one direction. U will see that your make up will become even again.

Why not use blotter? because it will make your face oily again very fast and soon your make up will be cakey again......

Moisturizer will blend in well with your foundation since both contains oil. Therefore it will also blend well with your own oily face. haha.

After blending them, apply your concealor or powder as usual. Then finish off with facial mist.

Its a really good way to keep your face fresh! So always keep a sample size face moisturizer and a make up sponge with you.

My heroine liquid bb cream

Got this from Watsons and I think it is really good. Just like what it says, this bb cream keeps the face Matt yet hydrated. Not oily at all~

The coverage is not bad. Best if it's applied in 2 thin layers. Just the bb cream and loose powder is good to go!

Downside of this item, it smell bit weird. No fragrance but plasticy.... But overall not too bad for sunny humid day like Singapore.

Canmake new Cheek & Cheek blusher

Free like a bird ! But too free.... Now I feel lost with no goals and objectives in life. Can't get to go Japan, don't feel like studying anything now YET and didnt sign up for any yoga or spa packages YET too. Life is just work, eat, sleep, play.

But I feel like I'm wasting my youth away. I havent been writing lyrics too, nobody ask for any lyrics, no emails from school and teacher

Spring is back again!!

Pictures are taken with my iphone 4, resolution is shit. Its time to get a camera!!!
Anyway, I'm wearing my hair extensions today! Its super duper long and its alot of hair!

Anyway, Canmake released a new range of powder blusher call cheek & cheek. Its so fine and matt! I think its the best among all of the Canmake blusher. Just apply the darker color onto the apples of your cheek, then blend the light color all over the dark color. That will give u a fine gradient cheek color!

Personally, my favourite color is the Rose Tiara. Thats the dark pink and baby pink combi and it will give you the most girly look. I think that's the most popular color among all. The packaging is somehow Jill Stuart inspired.... Nice and princessy.

Check out the Canmake Site for more blushers!!

Recent stay at Fullerton Bay and my Yojiya Blusher

Backdated post:
The most awesomest bathroom ever! It comes with bathsalt, body polish and a TV!

I can watch NHK while I soak myself

I got my Yojiya blusher from Narita Airport~! its very popular in Kyoto. This is a plum red color...A very strong red color and its not advisable to use it alone. Its very matt and gives a smooth flawless finish! Top it up with pearly white or baby pink color to neutralise the look! I got the very very bright pink shade when I was shopping at Narita airport 3years back. Its one of my favourite blusher cos its super lasting!! But mine crack recently and Im super sad. So here's my replacement!

They have other exotic colors too..like white, blue, orange, yellow and different shades of pink. But some are eyeshadows. Its bout $33 sgd after conversion. Not cheap, but good quality.

Eye make up for glasses

I was clearing leave these few days, wanted finish up my assignment but unfortunately I am down with a bad flu!! My assignment is a 4000 word paper and I think I've only written about less than 500....Very sad.

Anyway, nothing much happen recently except that its going to be Christmas and I need to finish 1 last assignment for this semester. Just paid my school fees of 3.5k and officially broke (well not really) cos this month is a rich month! I almost wanted to buy an air ticket to Japan. However, I need to get rid of all those distractions and temptations first before I submit my assigment. Good news while I was sick.... Got another distinction for my digital story! Happieee...in fact I got the criteria wrong and created a personal story instead which it shouldnt be the case. However, the lecturer still gave me a distinction! Yey...

Recently the weather is great! Cloudy~ and I can go out in all my thick sweater and fur. HAHA! I know its ridiculous in Singapore's weather. But not too bad cos everywhere is air conditioned. Whenever I bring my furry bad the fur tends to fly into my eye! Damn irritating.

And recently I've changed my hair parting. It makes me look less 'cute'. Sick of being cute already! I want to look pretty!!! but thats not the case usually too... I look weird with long fringe. So the most I could do is to swipe them to one side giving the illusion of longer fringe. (Finally my brows are not hidden) And I still havent manage to find my eyebrow pencil. So I had been surviving with the canmake eyebrow powder. Its my all time favourite! Very lasting and lightest shade I could find.

And.... I had been getting very bad eye infection very frequently too (fml). And I threw away most of my lenses. The one I'm wearing now is the grey lense I bought online. I forgot the name but the blogshop is listed on my sidebar. Damn cheap and good! It makes my eye twice as big! I'm also wearing Dollywink sweet girly lash #2.

Had been watching Ricebunny's youtube tutorial recently and I saw this useful video. Chic makeup for glasses! Really love this video and I'm going to try it out! Love her eyes..... but I think the effect wouldnt look as nice without those 15mm contact lense to enlarge the eyes.

Enjoy the video!

Tadah~
Fake spects, these glasses dont have lense in it.

Dolly Wink Eyeshadow

Tsubasa has this new range of eyeshadow and mascara. A different packaging unlike the usual dolly look. Love the new colours! Although I'm not sure whether they are shimmer or matt, the colours does look matt on screen~ You cant get these anywhere in SG yet, so gotta order them online. And my new favourite blogshop will be Stylegallerytokyo! Service is good and the price are reasonable enough. The price stated are already inclusive of shipping charges from Japan!
I'm thinking which colours to get...and i'll probably get this or the green and pink one (below).

Here's more of the new colors!

So nice right??? Its selling at $31.90 inclusive of shipping. I personally feel that its quite costly for an eyeshadow~ But worth a try.
There's this series of cream eyeshadow as well.

Anyway, I had been overspending for November! Lots of drinking, parties, birthdays etc.... Plus its the new range of fashion now. The autumn/winter look! Time to change the wardrobe as well. However, the stupid weather in SG doesnt allow too much coats and fur...*sad*
For a while I thought of escaping to Tokyo in Dec. I was browsing through the air tickets and the price was damn expensive. Peak season.... however, still cheaper than my tickets in the last christmas! Hmm, if only I have a cheaper place to stay in Tokyo. Then, I wouldnt mind staying there for a couple of weeks, or months!!
Spent some quality time alone today shopping & studying. Then I met this cute guy. Damn cute! He just reminded me of somebody. And there's this nice aura in him...the similar aura in sushi chan. The similar smiley face and thick dark hair. Haha~ Lusting over him!!
Okies...better sleep! みんさんおやすみ☆!

Lip Concealor

I'm a big fan of Tsubasa as well as Candydoll stuff! But I didnt bother to try their lip concealor which is one of the best selling product. I love the nude look but I think I cant carry out the look well. Nudie lips made me look like a sick person. Although it will look nice in the morning, once I stepped into office and look at myself under the hell flourescent lightings, I look damn ugly!

Then, I managed to find this lip concealor which doesnt give me a sick look! Cos its not beige in color but very light strawberry milk pink! And its hydrating and really conceals my lip lines. Good thing about it being pink is that I can wear it bare. Sometimes I put a bit of red gloss over to give it some gradient in color. Overall, Love it.

This lip concealor is from SANA. Got it from SASA. *loves*

Applied leave from this wed till next wed! And today I went to Liang court for some revision. Love the peaceful noon without disturbance. And since im going to be at home for the rest of the days, I need to get some groceries too. My recent fav is the soya coffee. It taste like coffee, less sweet but its actually made from soya. Super healthy!
Also bought some pasta and mentaiko sauce. Its has been a while since I cooked. ^^

And of cos, I bought my favourite green tea.

FOTD!

Suzy's Zoo top...haha...I like this stupid bear

By the way, its damn sucky cos I had became more and more forgetful! I can buy 2 exact same magazines without knowing I already read it at home. I end up having 2 EGG, 2 Popteen, 2 Vivi mag. What a waste of money!!! Sigh.

Tofu Love

I had been using this for quite some time but always don't remember to blog bout it. Its not something new in Japan but its definitely new here. While I was reading my magazines, I noticed most japanese models use this. And now I tried it for myself.

This TOFU LOVE Professional Makeup Sponge are latex-free makeup sponges that are gentle on the skin. Its known to have excellent absorbency and picks up the correct amount of foundation for your skin! Its super soft and creates a beautiful flawless finish! Unlike some other sponges with weird rubbery smell and makes my face cakey if I applied too much powder/foundation.
Love it to the core and introduced it to my friends too~ Also it looks cute...heart shaped!!! *loves*

Here's the site for more details. And its sold in Watsons now $9.90 (if I didnt remember wrongly)
